Imperfect Servant II 2018, mixed media on 26x16 board Make offer

Teaching Painting students about Banksy and the street-art movement. I decoupaged pictures of the late Senator John McCain onto an old thrift-shop frame. I made one into a graphic using AdobeCapture. I traced that into card stock and cut out a stencil of it. Then sprayed McCain’s image over the montage of photos. One of him as a pilot, three as a POW, a more recent magazine shot and one of his flag-draped casket lying in state in the capitol bldg. I think I’ll use the stencil a few more times, probably with blank backgrounds- but not on other people’s walls like Banksy.
