Seventh Grade Art Exploratory (ArtX7)
This class is designed to allow students to explore a variety of artistic media and styles. Students will learn ways to express themselves and challenge their creativity. Emphasis is placed on the sensory elements of design; line, shape, space, color, value and texture as well as the Studio Habits of Art; craft, persistence, mental-imaging, expression, observation, reflection, exploration and art in community. Students will also learn about the four art disciplines; art history, aesthetics, art criticism, and art production.

Once they've studied Picasso and cubism, seventh graders were introduced to contemporary Miami artist Romero Britto, these portraits, a fusion of cubism and pop-art were the result.
