Hello! I am Rachel Motta and I am an Art Teacher in the Metropolitan Nashville School district. I have been teaching since January 2008. I graduated from Rhode Island College in December 2007 with my Bachelors of Science degree in Art Education. I completed my M.A. in art education degree from Boston Univeristy in May 2014. I wrote my master's research paper on yoga in the art room.

From 2008-July 2010 I was teaching at the King's Daughters' School. KDS is a private boarding school for students with special needs, primarily MR. My students are ages 10-22 and are at academic levels ranging k-12. I was lucky to be apart of my students everyday schedules along with their regular academic courses. Every child is special and unique in their own way. The best way to teach them is to listen and learn from them. I love the saying "If you know one child with autism, you know one child with autism."

Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you have for me about the children I work with or my work in general.

Thank You!
