[Dr. Seuss’s Silly Fish]

After reading the famous book One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss, the Kinders and I analyzed Dr. Seuss’s Fish, and discovered the funny details that made his fish silly. We learned an easy way to draw standing or swimming fish and went to work drawing and then painting our fish. After carefully cutting out the fish, we glued them onto our sparkly striped backgrounds.

[Kandinsky Inspired Circles]
It's time to paint! Kinders explored the three primary colors - red yellow and blue, and discovered what happens when these colors mix together. It was great to hear the excited exclamations of the students as they made green, purple and orange!
We had fun experimenting with paint while making 8 mini circle paintings on one big piece of paper!

[Wish Fish]

This lesson was alot of fun. I told the students the Russian Folk Tale about a fisherman who one day caught a wish fish. The kinders loved the story, and afterward we made our own fish fish. First we figured out all the parts that a fish needed to have, such as fins, tail, and scales. Each Kinder then added their own wish scales to their fish. After cutting out a scale, they whispered their wish on the scale and then glued it in place on their fish.
