A Fine Line

Line can be a powerful tool to build value and create the illusion of form.  Drawing with scratch art is an excellent way to explore the different characteristics and qualities of line and builds dexterity and attention to detail in artmaking because every mark is permanent.  Below are several student examples of students who took the project to an exceptional level of detail and realism.
