The ubiquitous presence of digital devices in the classroom is often seen as a hinderance to instruction as well as a constant distraction to students.  However the use of a digital camera can dovetail nicely within any art curricula.  the camera, and its video capabilities can be harnessed to enhance student learning,  create more compelling curricula,  provide significant insights into student understanding and afford significant moments of reflection upon one’s teaching.

Learn how you can engage students in positive approaches to digital media for teaching, reflection and documenting.  Specific approaches and experiences will be shared.

Student Exibits

Having student learn to hang a show and to present their work in a professional manner is all part of their training to become artists.  Each year I have students participate in several shows to give them exposure and experience.  I have noticed that the quality of their work increases and their drive to create work improves with a public showing.  It also helps to build community support of your art program.
