Our past, present, and future are vital in affecting our learning and how we experience the world. I have been inspired by the theories and philosophies of such individuals as Nelson Mandela, Leo Tolstoy, Maya Angelou, and Sir Ken Robinson.

My educational beliefs are fortified by Leo Tolstoy’s words:

“In education, once more, the chief things are equality and freedom.”

This is important to me because I see this as the necessary fundamental groundwork for our education system. All students deserve to learn and explore in a healthy environment, with equal opportunities and experiences.

My pedagogical approach focuses on social-emotional learning, cross-curricular learning, and student-centered learning.

By utilizing these teaching strategies, I establish a solid foundation from which students are able to learn and grow. Through shared knowledge we connect information across the curriculum and integrate it into our art experiences.

My objective is to provide students with the best possible learning environment and endless opportunities to ensure cognitive and personal prosperity.
